James Franco just posted this image on Instagram of his portrayal of Tommy Wiseau in the upcoming film The Disaster Artist. If you're unfamiliar with Tommy Wiseau, he's the genius who wrote, directed, and starred in The Room. No, not the 2015 film that was nominated for a bunch of Academy Awards. I'm talking about the masterpiece released in 2003 that many consider to be the worst movie ever made. The Disaster Artist, based on the book of the same name, is about the production of The Room. I always just assumed The Room manifested itself into reality because there's no way it was made by the hand of man. If you think I'm exaggerating, watch this clip from The Room and tell me this seems like something a human being would've made: And here's the actual Tommy Wiseau for reference:

"The thing is, my focus isn't on Avatar 2. My focus is on Avatar 2, 3, 4, and 5 equally. That's exactly how I'm approaching it. They've all been developed equally. I've just finished the script to Avatar 5. I'm now starting the process of active prep. I'll be working with the actors in the capture volume in August, so I'm booked in production every day between now and then."This is incredibly optimistic thinking on James Cameron's part. Avatar came out eight years ago so it's not exactly riding a wave of popularity. And to follow it up with not one, but four sequels right off the bat is basically insane. What do they do with the three extra sequels if Avatar 2 bombs? Just call it a billion dollar loss and move on with their lives? Does James Cameron go back to the Titanic wreckage and then just stay there permanently?
Dune seems more suited for an HBO miniseries than a single film, but considering Denis Villeneuve's track record and the fact that he's stated Dune is his dream project, whatever approach they take will probably be amazing. Villeneuve is so good he could probably make it work as an animated stop-motion short if he wanted.

It doesn't matter how many seasons of How I Met Your Mother you did or if you played David Foster Wallace, once you write a Dracula musical and show your penis, that's who you are for life.
